      • What is Buy-Proxy.com?
        • Buy-Proxy.com is a service that connects individuals from around the world, and enables them to assist each other with completing International Purchases.


          Much like an auction, Requests for assistance are posted, and interested members bid on them.


          Members can either Post a Request, or Bid on one.


          A Member who Posts a Request is known as a Principal.
          A Member who Bids on a Request, is known as a Proxy.

      • How many people use Buy-Proxy.com?
        • There are several active members on Buy-Proxy.com, with more signing up every day.
      • What countries are Buy-Proxy.com Members from?
        • People signup from all over the world. All Requests are posted in English.
      • Do you accept advertising on Buy-Proxy.com?
      • Can I become an affiliate of Buy-Proxy.com and earn revenue?
        • YES! Please use the referral link that is provided for you at the bottom of your Account Management page. You will be paid US$ 0.10 for each new member you refer.
      • How do I report someone who has violated the Buy-Proxy.com Terms & Conditions?
      • Can I display your Requests on my website?
        • YES! You can display a link to individual Requests on your website. We are also working on a system to enable automatic display of Buy-Proxy.com Requests on external websites, and will notify all members when the implementation has been completed.
      • How do I contact Buy-Proxy.com?
        • You can use our contact form Don't forget to tell us your username.
      • Can anyone post requests this site?
        • YES! Anyone can post requests on Buy-Proxy.com as long as they Register and complete the Registration process.
      • How do I know the Principals and Proxies on this site are reliable?
        • The best way to determine the reliability of a Proxy or Principal is to see what other members have say about them by reading their feedback.


          New members obviously won't have received feedback on Buy-Proxy.com yet, but may have very good feedback on other sites such as Ebay or Amazon. You may find this information in the members Portfolio if they have included it.

      • Why can't I post contact information?
        • It would allow you to directly contact other members, by-pass the Buy-Proxy.com Request system, and therefore avoid paying any fees.
      • Can I post contact info on Featured Requests?
        • Yes, but only on Requests which are Featured.
      • What type of Requests are not allowed?
        • Any Requests for assistance in paying for banned or illegal substances, products or services.


          You cannot post a Request with the intention of advertising a product, service or website.


          If your Request requires abnormal bidding (hourly bids, trades, etc.) it must be made a Featured Request.


          Requests relating to adult products/explicit material are allowed, however care must be taken to word your Request Description in a manner that is safe for younger viewers. i.e. simply stating I'd like assistance with purchasing some Adult DVD's from an Online Store.
          DO NOT put adult/explicit product names or references in your Request Description, such information may only be divulged once you have chosen a Proxy, and then only via the Private Message Boards, or through contact methods outside of Buy-Proxy.com.


          We reserve the right to delete offending Requests and terminate your account without payment if this rule is contravened.

      • What happens if I violate the terms?
        • Minor offences might get your account suspended temporarily. Anything else, or repeated violations, will get your account deleted and get you banned from Buy-Proxy.com, without payment.
      • What if I didn't know what I did was a violation of the terms?
        • It is your responsibility to understand the terms. You are asked to agree to them before signing up. Ignorance is not an excuse.


          If you have questions about our terms, feel free to contact us.

      • Is it necessary to have Members log in every 2 weeks?
        • Yes. This enables us to keep track of active members, and delete inactive accounts.


          However, if you have chosen to be notified of new Requests by email, you may extend the frequency to 3 months.

    • Buy-Proxy.com - Troubleshooting
      • After I log in, when I click on any link, it brings me back to the login form.
        • Buy-Proxy.com uses Cookies to remember your login information.


          If you have this problem it means Cookies are turned off in your browser, your security setting is set high, or they are not working properly.


          Make sure you have Cookies turned on in your browser, or try a different browser.

      • I try to do something, but I am told my username does not exist.
        • Your account may have been deleted for one of two reasons:


          Either you did not log in for over 30 days and your account was deleted, or you violated the Buy-Proxy.com Terms & Conditions, and you have been banned.

      • I made a deposit by PayPal, but it's not showing up in my Buy-Proxy.com account.
        • Sometimes PayPal is slow at notifying deposit systems of payment.


          Please allow up to one hours time for deposits to reflect.


          Otherwise, contact us and tell us your PayPal email address, the amount deposited, and your Buy-Proxy.com username.

      • I submitted a withdrawal but I have not received the money.
        • All withdrawals are processed manually for security reasons. Please be patient while we get to your withdrawal request.


          However, if your withdrawal request takes more than a couple of days, please contact us at the following email address:

      • My signup confirmation email never arrived.
        • Your email provider may be treating mail from Buy-Proxy.com as spam/junk mail. Please check your spam/junk mailbox.


          Alternatively, you may try registering with a different email address.

      • I am unable to received any email messages from Buy-Proxy.com.
        • Your email provider may be treating mail from Buy-Proxy.com as spam/junk mail. Please check your spam/junk mailbox.


          Alternatively, you may try using a different email address. You can change your email address by clicking the "Edit Info" button in you Account Management area.

      • Why is my account suspended?
        • Violation of the Buy-Proxy.com Terms & Conditions is the most common reason for account suspension.


          Contact us for the details, and you might be able to have your account re-activated.


          It is important to remember to tell us your username.

      • My username, password or email address is not working.
        • Usernames, Passwords and email addresses are treated as case-sensitive. Please make sure that you have entered your details correctly.

      • Why is there less money in my account than I expected?
        • Have you taken a look at your transaction history? It explains what was charged to your account and how much.


          Login to your account and click on the "view all" link under your account balance.

      • Why did I stop receiving email notifications about new Requests?
        • 1. Make sure your email is working, or try submitting a different email address.


          2. Does your Buy-Proxy.com account still exist? It could have been deleted for many reasons, such as not logging in for over 30 days.


          3. Have you logged in to your account lately? Notifications are not sent out to accounts which have not logged in for 30 days.


          If none of the above reasons apply, please contact us.

      • I accidentally signed up with the wrong username, can I change it?
        • No. However, you may contact us and ask us to delete your account. Then signup again.


          You might need to clear the cookies in your browser to signup a second time. You can find this in the settings, options or preferences area of your browser.

    • Members - General Questions
      • How does this site work for members.
        • A member can be either a Principal or a Proxy. You only need one account.


          When you Post a Request, you will be known as a Principal.
          When you Bid on a Request, you are known as a Proxy.

      • Creating a Request
        • When you create a Request, you can provide all the details of the transaction you want assistance with, i.e. What you need help with, what country the transaction will take place in, and the budget range.


          Buy-Proxy.com members will then be able to view your Request and bid on it.


          This is similar to an auction, but you choose the winning bid yourself. Once you have chosen a Proxy they will begin work on your Request. You pay them when the transaction is completed.

      • Bidding on a Request
        • You can browse the list of Requests posted by Principals for the ones you would be interested in assisting with, or have Buy-Proxy.com send you an email whenever a new Request is posted that matches your preferences.


          If you see a Request that you can help with, you can place a bid on the Request. You can update or retract your bid anytime you want.


          When the Principal chooses a Proxy (winning bid) you will be notified.


          If you are chosen you can begin work on fulfilling the Request and get paid once the Request is complete.

      • How much does this cost for Members?
        • There is no signup fee and no monthly fee, but you are required to give Buy-Proxy.com a commission on each request you win a bid on.


          The commission for successful requests is US$ 2.00 or 2%, whichever is greater. The commission is split equally between the Principal and the Proxy.


          Requests with a winning bid of US$ 100.00 or less will attract a US$ 2.00 commission. US$ 1.00 will be charged to the Principal, and US$ 1.00 will be charged to the Proxy.


          Requests with a winning bid of over US$ 100.00 will attract a 2% commission, with the Principal and the Proxy each paying 1% of of the winning bid amount.


          Example: If the winning bid on a Request is US$ 150.00, the total commission is US$ 3.00, with the Principal and the Proxy each paying US$ 1.50 as commission.


          Commissions are calculated and deducted from members accounts, as soon as a winning bidder is chosen for, and accepts a Request.

      • Are Commissions charged for Featured Requests?
        • NO! Featured Requests cost US$ 5.00 to create, which is paid for by the Principal. Proxies are not charged for completing Featured Requests.


          Commission Fees will NOT be deducted from either account, if the Request is a Featured Request.

      • Why should I use the service Buy-Proxy.com provides?
        • If you need a transaction completed in another country, it can be very difficult to find someone trustworthy to help you.


          When you post a Request on Buy-Proxy.com, Proxies essentially compete to assist you. They can place a new bid if they see another Proxy has placed a lower bid than their own, this will undoubtedly result in a low fee for getting your transaction completed.


          If you are assisting someone with a transaction, you can charge a fee for completing relatively simple tasks, such as purchasing an item, and sending it to the Principal via mail.


          Buy-Proxy.com also provides a free escrow service to bring you peace of mind.


          Plus, with no up front fees at Buy-Proxy.com, you've got nothing to lose!

      • How do I communicate with Other Members?
        • Each Request has its own message board, to allow members to communicate additional information regarding a Request.


          Messages on a Requests message board are viewable by the public.


          You can optionally post a Private Message, and only the user it's addressed to will be able to see it, that user will also be notified by email that you posted a message for them.

      • What is the PMB?
        • PMB is an abbreviation used by Buy-Proxy.com members, referring to the Private Message Board.
      • Where can I find the Message Board?
        • When you are viewing a Request, you can click on the "Message Board" button that is found above the list of Proxy bids.
      • How do I stop receiving notification emails about new Requests?
        • Login to your account and click on the "Edit" button. You can then uncheck the box for receiving notifications.
      • If a Request fails, can I get a refund on the Request fee I was charged?
        • Using the contact form, let us know the details, and we will investigate your claim. You may well be eligible for a refund.
    • Members - Creating Requests
      • How do I create a new Request?
        • When signed in, and viewing your Account Management page, click the "Create New Request" button.


          Fill in the details on the form provided, and click "Submit Request".

      • What if I don't know what Payment Method the Proxy will have to use?
        • Select "Any Payment Method" under the Payment Methods, and mention the reason in your Request's description.


          Be aware that a vague Request may not attract as many bids as a detailed request.


          You can select multiple payment methods when creating a Request.

      • What is a budget range?
        • You can optionally specify how much money you are willing to pay for successful completion of your request.
      • Why do I have to choose the amount of days until my Request is fulfilled?
        • This helps Proxies decide of they will have enough time to fulfill your Request.


          However, you can extend your Request any time you want.

      • Can I change the information I provided about my Request?
        • NO! You may not change any information regarding your Request. You may only extend your request.


          Editing Requests would be unfair on members who have already placed bids.

      • How do I close my Request, extend it, or pick a Proxy?
        • You can perform any of these actions by in your Account Management area.


          Click on the "Manage Account" button in the left sidebar to view your Account Management page.

      • Can I re-open a closed a Request?
        • No, you will have to post a new Request. In some cases we can re-open a Request for you.


          Contact us with the reason and we will consider re-opening your Request.

      • What does it mean if my Request is Frozen?
        • This means the end date you chose for the request has past.


          No Proxies can place any new bids, you should either Pick-A-Proxy, Cancel or Extend the Request.

    • Members - Bidding
      • How do I place a bid on a Request?
        • Click on the "Place Bid" button which you can find on the Request page (there's one above and another below the list of current bids).
      • How do I update a bid I have already placed on a Request?
        • Just submit a new bid and your old one will automatically be removed.
      • How do I cancel a bid I placed?
        • Log in to your Account Management area, find the Request, and click on the "retract bid" link.
      • What if I have a question about a Request (that will help me place my bid)?
        • Just post a message on the message board for that Request. You can access Request specific message boards by clicking on the link provided on the Request page.
      • Why can't I find the "Place Bid" button on the Request page?
        • If the Request is closed it does not show up, because bidding has ended. It will also not show up if the Request is frozen, which means bidding has temporarily been stopped.
      • What is "bid for the total Request"?
        • This is the amount (in US$) that you will charge the Principal, if you are chosen.


          It is a Total for completing the Request, NOT an hourly rate.


          The Request Total should include the cost of any items being purchased, shipping and handling charge, and your fee.

      • What if I can't make an accurate bid? Can I make an estimate?
        • You should not make any estimates. The information provided should be enough to decide how much it will cost you to fulfill the Request.


          If there is not enough information, use the message board to ask additional questions to the Principal before placing your bid.


          Remember, if your bidis chosen, you will be entering into a legally binding contract. If you abuse this system you risk receiving poor reviews by others, and possibly being banned from Buy-Proxy.com.

    • Members - Payments
      • Do I have to add money to my account?
        • Not right away, but eventually you will probably have to. You'll need funds in your Buy-Proxy.com account to do the following things.


          If you want to accept a Proxies' bid, your account will need to have enough funds to cover the commission fees.


          If you want to submit a Featured Request you will need to have US$ 5.00 in your account.


          If your account balance is below Zero Dollars US$ 0.00 for more than 30 days your account will be suspended, and you will not be able to create any new Requests.

      • How do I add money to my account?
        • Login to your Account Management area and click on the "Deposit Funds" button.


          You can make a Deposit with PayPal, or by sending us a Cheque in the post.

      • Can I withdraw money from my account?
        • YES! Simply click the "Withdraw Funds" button in your Account Management area.


          At the moment, you can only make withdrawals to a PayPal account, or we can send you a cheque in the post.


          Note that you cannot withdraw less than US$ 50.00 at a time.


          Withdrawals by Cheque will attract an administration and processing fee of US$ 1.00.


          Withdrawals to a PayPal Account are free, but you will have to pay the PayPal fees.

      • Is there a fee to transfer money to a Buy-Proxy.com Member account?
        • NO! Transfers between Buy-Proxy.com accounts are absolutely free.
      • What if I transfered an incorrect amount or transfered it to the wrong Member?
        • You will have to contact us and explain your situation. We will probably have to ask for confirmation from the person you paid.
      • What is the minimum amount I can transfer to a Proxy account?
        • Transfers between Buy-Proxy.com accounts, must be at least US$ 1.00.
      • How long does it take for you to process a withdrawal?
        • All withdrawals are processed manually, and therefore, will not be instant.


          PayPal withdrawals are usually processed within 3-5 working days.


          Withdrawals by Cheque, are processed once a week (usually on Fridays).

      • Can I make a deposit or withdrawal using a method other than PayPal?
        • At this time, you can only make Deposits and Withdrawals with PayPal, or Cheques through the post. Other payment methods are being reviewed, and may be added in the future.


          If you have any suggestions, you can contact us and we will consider it.


          We will not make exceptions for individual cases. If we choose to accept or send money using different methods, it will be available to all members of the site.

      • How do I pay a Proxy once they have completed my Request?
        • You can transfer money from your Buy-Proxy.com account to any other Buy-Proxy.com Member.


          Simply click the "Transfer Money" button in your Account Management area.


          You can put money in your account by depositing funds into it with PayPal, or by sending us a Cheque though the post.

      • Do I have to pay (or be paid by) other Members through my Buy-Proxy.com account?
        • No! You can pay them directly using any method you both agree on.


          However, it is more convenient for you to use the Buy-Proxy.com payment system, as that enables you to keep track of all your Buy-Proxy.com related transactions in one place.


          Note that you will still need to deposit money into your Buy-Proxy.com account to cover the commission we charge for completed Requests.

      • How does the Escrow Payment Service work?
      • When does Buy-Proxy.com charge its commission and how much will it be?
        • As soon as a Proxy has been chosen to complete a Request, and they accept the Request, Buy-Proxy.com automatically calculates the commission, and deducts it from both the Principals and the Proxies accounts.
